Introduction to Ansys Maxwell

This is a 2-day course combining theoretical lectures and practical workshops, mainly intended for the beginner users of Ansys Maxwell and Electromagnetic simulation. 

A basic understanding of electromagnetic theory is required.

Focus areas (Day 1)

• Introduction to Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT) and Ansys Maxwell
• Geometry and Modeling (2D & 3D)
• Boundary conditions, Excitations, Materials, Parameters and Mesh Operations 
• Maxwell Solvers (Static & Transient)
• Adaptive Meshing for Quasi-static Solvers
• Post-processing and Parameterization

Focus areas (Day 2)

Depending on the needs and application, focus on the simulation of: 

• Electrical Machines
• Actuators
• Magnets
• Wireless Charging 
• Magnetic Latching
• Transformers
• Multiphysics coupling with other Ansys Solutions
